The British Mark V tank (male version) was produced in 1918 at the end of World War I. The tank was equipped with two 57mm cannons and five machine guns operated by an eight-person crew. The Mark V moved at a dizzying speed of 7.4 km/h and could cover a distance of about 65 km on the road! Tanks of this type took part in the battles of Gomel, Amiens and on the Hindenburg Line on the Western Front.

To this day, a museum specimen from The Tank Museum in Bovington (Great Britain) marked with the number 9199 remains in operation. It was this specimen with a documented combat history that served as the prototype for the COBI block model.

The carefully reproduced model of the MARK V tank (Male) number 9199 consists of 844 COBI construction blocks and is 23cm long. Thanks to the use of the 1:35 model scale, the model fits COBI figures and other vehicles released in this size. The tank is equipped with a working caterpillar traction, rotating cannons and opening hatches. The markings and emblems are made of colorful blocks and durable prints that do not rub off even during intensive use. The set includes a British officer figure and a plate with the name of the set and the logo of The Tank Museum.

Mark V is a must-have for history enthusiasts and fans of armored weapons and is a beautiful model for any collection dedicated to the Great War. Build history, piece by piece, with COBI.

Ellie K. ★★★★★

The two 57mm cannons and five machine guns really sell the Great War look—it’s a chunky, imposing model that captures the Mark V’s brutal silhouette. Assembly took me a couple of evenings, but the eight crew positions make it feel properly lived-in once you place the figures.

Emily A. ★★★★★

The track assembly on this model clicks together really satisfyingly, and the instructions were clear enough that I built it in one evening. My only wish is that it came with a small display stand for the finished tank.

Nicholas ★★★★☆

The two 57mm cannons really stand out on this model, and the track assembly was more involved than I expected for the piece count. One of the smaller hatch pieces didn't click in perfectly, but the overall build is solid and looks great on the shelf.
