Compare the COBI Gladiators Pack and Romans Pack from the Imperium Romanum collection to decide which three-figure set fits your build.
Quick answer
Choose the COBI Gladiators Pack if you want versatile, customizable fighters with exchangeable gear; choose the COBI Romans Pack if you prefer disciplined legionnaires to start your Roman army.
Gladiators vs legionnaires: what each pack offers
Both packs give you three figures from the COBI Imperium Romanum collection, but they represent different sides of Roman culture. The Gladiators Pack (#20066) focuses on arena fighters with new accessories and detailed prints, while the Romans Pack (#20067) delivers classic legionnaires known for their discipline and organization.
If you already own Roman structures or vehicles, the Romans Pack can expand your forces. If you want to stage arena battles or add variety to a display, the Gladiators Pack brings more visual flair.
Customization and play value
The Gladiators Pack stands out because you can exchange weapons, headgear, and shields between the figures. That means you can mix and match to create your own barbarian or gladiator combinations, which adds replay value beyond the initial build.
The Romans Pack is more about uniformity and building a cohesive unit. While you can still pose the legionnaires, the set is designed to start a legion rather than encourage heavy customization.
How to choose
- If you want maximum customization: Pick the Gladiators Pack (#20066) because you can swap weapons, headgear, and shields between the figures to create unique combinations. Think about whether you'll actually mix the parts; if not, the Romans Pack may suit you better.
- If you want a cohesive Roman force: Choose the Romans Pack (#20067) to start a disciplined legion that can grow with additional sets. Consider buying two Romans Packs if you plan a larger army, since each pack adds three figures.
- If you're on a tight budget: Both packs are similarly priced, but the Gladiators Pack is slightly cheaper and offers more variety per figure. Check current prices to confirm which fits your budget today.
