Compare the COBI Alfa Romeo Giulia Polizia #24606 and DODGE Ram 1500 Police Truck #24608 on scale, piece count, and display presence to pick the right Action Town police build.
Quick answer
Choose the COBI Alfa Romeo Giulia Polizia #24606 if you want a compact, low-cost Italian sports sedan with police livery; choose the DODGE Ram 1500 Police Truck #24608 if you prefer a larger 1:35 pickup with more pieces and a bolder shelf presence.
Scale and size: sedan versus pickup
The Ram 1500 is listed at 1:35 scale, while the Alfa Romeo set does not state a scale in the supplied catalog. That means you can compare the Ram directly with other 1:35 COBI vehicles, but you cannot assume the Alfa matches that scale without checking the box or product page.
In practice, the Ram's 203 pieces and pickup body suggest a larger footprint than the Alfa's compact sedan shape. If shelf space is tight, the Alfa is the safer bet; if you want a vehicle that anchors a display, the Ram is the stronger candidate.
Piece count and build time
The Ram 1500 set contains 203 precise elements, which points to a longer, more involved build than the Alfa Romeo set, whose piece count is not supplied. For a quick afternoon project, the Alfa is likely the faster build; for a weekend session with more steps, the Ram gives you more to do.
Neither set is described as including minifigures or interior details in the catalog facts, so do not expect police officers or opening features unless the box confirms them.
Price and value
At catalog prices, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Polizia is listed at USD 12.59 against a comparison price of USD 19.99, while the DODGE Ram 1500 Police Truck is USD 22.49 against USD 29.99. The Alfa is the lower-cost entry into COBI Action Town police vehicles; the Ram costs more but also includes more pieces.
Value depends on what you want: a budget-friendly sports car or a larger truck. Check current store pricing before ordering, since catalog prices can change.
Key trade-offs to weigh
- Budget vs. piece count: The Alfa Romeo set is the cheaper option at catalog price, but its piece count is not supplied; the Ram costs more and clearly lists 203 pieces. If you want the most building for your money, the Ram is the more transparent choice. Check the Alfa's piece count on the box if that number matters to you.
- Scale certainty: Only the Ram states a 1:35 scale. If you plan to display either model next to other COBI vehicles, the Ram's scale makes lineup planning straightforward; the Alfa's scale is unknown from the catalog. Do not assume the Alfa matches 1:35 without confirming.
- Display footprint: A sports sedan and a pickup truck occupy different shelf profiles. The Alfa's compact body suits tight spaces; the Ram's pickup shape and higher piece count suggest a larger, more imposing model. Measure your shelf before choosing the Ram if space is limited.
